Crouse-Hinds traffic signals were one of the most popular brands of traffic
signals made. They were well made, attractive, and priced so most
municipalities could afford them.  Crouse-Hinds started making traffic
signals in 1922 and ceased production around 1982. In  sixty years there were
six versions or models produced. However there were minor modifications
made to those six models. Crouse-Hinds most popular signals in the past and
with collectors today are the D and DT models. Known today as "art deco"
signals among collectors.
